Q. What is Wedding Bidder?
A. Wedding Bidder is a revolutionary platform changing the way we do weddings! Couples, sign up for free and let the UK’s leading wedding suppliers know exactly what you need. Suppliers submit their best bids to be part of your big day. Couples can review the suppliers then accept the bid directly on Wedding Bidder!
Q. How does Wedding Bidder work for couples?
A. Simply create an account, post the wedding services you need (e.g. catering, photography, venue), and suppliers will submit bids. You can review their offers, check reviews, and select the supplier that best fits your needs.
Q. Is it free to use Wedding Bidder?
A. Yes, Wedding Bidder is free for couples to use. You can post requests for wedding services and receive bids at no cost. You only pay if you decide to accept a bid, and you can pay directly and securely on the Wedding Bidder platform
Q. How do I post a request for a service?
A. Once registered, you can then select the services you are looking for. Fill in the simple form questions for those specific services and click "submit my requests” directly from your account! Suppliers relevant to your needs will then be able to place bids on your request.
Q. Can I compare suppliers before choosing?
A. Yes, you can compare suppliers based on their bids, previous reviews, portfolio, and ratings.
Q. What if I don’t receive any bids?
A. We have amazing suppliers ready to bid on your special day, so this is very unlikely. In the off chance this happens it is most likely that you might have missed some form questions. Suppliers need as much information as possible to make sure they can bid on your special day. If you have no live bids on your request, you can edit or delete your request and submit again!
Q. Are the suppliers on Wedding Bidder vetted?
A. Yes! Ensuring everyone has the absolute best and safest experience using Wedding Bidder is our absolute priority! It is part of our mission! We vet all suppliers before an account can go live, and suppliers work hard to build great reviews by providing great services.
Q. How do I know if the suppliers are legitimate?
A. You can check each supplier’s profile, portfolio, and reviews.
Q. What happens after I select a supplier?
A. After selecting a supplier Wedding Bidder connect you both, so you’ll work directly with them to finalise any other details, and to keep in contact. Wedding Bidder is not a supplier, we connect couples with suppliers, we are the connection point for you both. Once our job is done and you and the suppler have made a deal, we simple have one thing left to do, to wish you the absolutely best wedding day!
Q. What if a supplier cancels or doesn’t fulfil their obligations?
A. While we don’t expect suppliers to ever do that, it is a good question, sometimes unexpected things happen to even the best businesses. Wedding Bidder encourages you to communicate directly with the supplier once you have accepted a bid. We also encourage you to leave a review reflecting your experience, and in extreme cases, you can report the supplier to us, however, your contract for your wedding service is directly with the supplier.
Q. How does Wedding Bidder work for suppliers?
A. Suppliers can create a profile, browse wedding requests posted by couples, and submit bids. If the couple accepts your bid, you’ll work directly with them to fulfil their wedding needs.
Q. Is there a cost to join Wedding Bidder as a supplier?
A. For suppliers, your account set up is FREE. Using our platform is free, as well as reviewing couples’ requests and submitting bids. If you choose to bid on a couples big day and that bid is accepted, Wedding Bidder takes a commission of 10% of the value of that bid. This also covers all payment gateway costs and transaction fees.

Q. How do I submit a bid?
A. Once registered as a supplier, browse the open requests in your service category and location. Click on a request that fits your expertise, and submit a bid outlining your services, price, and any other relevant details. The more information you provide the more likely you are to win that bid!
Q. Can I adjust my bid after submission?
A. Yes, you can modify your bid until the couple accepts one. After acceptance, the terms of the bid will need to be honoured, and both the suppliers and the couple will agree to terms at that point.
Q. What happens if a couple selects my bid?
A. If your bid is accepted, you’ll be notified and connected directly with the couple. You will be paid directly in line with our payment agreement outlined in our costs section. Then it is over to you and the lovely couple!
Q. How do I build a strong supplier profile?
A. The more you can add to your profile the better, especially reviews and photos! Upload professional photos, detail your services, and encourage past clients to leave reviews. A complete and appealing profile increases your chances of getting selected.
Q. How do reviews and ratings work?
A. After providing a service, couples can leave reviews and ratings on your profile. Maintaining high ratings and good reviews can help attract more business.
Q. What if I can’t fulfil a commitment after my bid is accepted?
A. In such cases, contact the couple immediately to work out a solution. Be aware that cancelling after acceptance may affect your ratings and standing on Wedding Bidder, and our payment acceptance fee and Stripe fees are non-refundable.
Q. Do I need to sign a contract with the couple?
A. Yes, we recommend formalising your arrangement with a contract that outlines the terms, payment, and cancellation policy. Wedding Bidder does not provide contracts, so it is your responsibility to ensure both parties are clear on terms in your bid process.
Q. Is Wedding Bidder safe?
A. Yes, it absolutely is. Remember, we at Wedding Bidder only exist if we can provide a top-quality service. It is our mission to do that. We prioritise the security of our users by maintaining a platform that uses the best security, and we use Stripe for payments, a world leading payment provider! We also actively encourage both couples and suppliers to leave reviews and ratings on us and each other, creating the safe and loved platform we all deserve!
Q. Does Wedding Bidder handle payments?
A. Yes, we use Stripe to process any payments made on Wedding Bidder. The suppliers are then paid directly into their business account, minus our small commission. All of this is outlined within our costs section.

Q. What is Wedding Bidder refund policy?
A. Wedding Bidder acts as a marketplace connecting couples and suppliers, refunds depend on the agreements made between couples and suppliers directly. Please ensure all contracts and agreements are made clear by the supplier during their bidding process. There is a specific section for suppliers to fill out about this. Q. Can I deactivate or delete my account?
A. Yes, you can deactivate or permanently delete your account at any time by visiting the account settings page. Be aware that once deleted, your account will be lost permanently.
